Baby Olson!

I co-hosted a baby shower for my good friend this weekend. Here is the banner I threw together mere minutes before the shower started! There were some tense moments when tying the parts together took a little longer than I expected. I definitely was yelling at the string to stop getting in knots! I think it turned out pretty cute though and she loved it which was the most important part!

Spice Up The Party!

I’m throwing my first baby shower this weekend and am excited to use some of these ideas! I’ve been busy scouring pinterest for party ideas and decided to make a party board: Spice Up The Party! I LOVE the baby bottle glass idea and have been wanting to try those striped paper straws for months now. This might by my perfect chance but I’m worried they will turn to sludge if people sip their drinks for too long. They would be soooo cute, though! Have you thrown a baby shower before? Any ideas?

What are you doing this weekend? I’m putting in another long run while I train for a half marathon this April and heading to a fun restaurant with my girlfriends for Kansas City Restaurant Week. I don’t usually talk about my classes much, but I am really enjoying my newest project. Right now my students are building 3-D letterforms that are about 4′ tall. Isn’t this great? They are a little *upset* about the scale difficulty but I am really enjoying seeing huge type take over our building! I snapped some pictures of them working. Enjoy and have a good weekend!
